“Ronnie Wayne”, a Maryland native with roots in (Rum Creek) West Virginia and Branson Missouri, is a high energy entertainer who seems to use his strong “Faith” in addition to his diverse heritage as a place to draw his passion for his music. But most importantly, for his fans.
Thru his career, Ronnie’s had many accomplishments including demo recordings with A.M.I. Records/Nashville, appearances on the Appalachian Jubilee (PA Radio show), Rainey After Dark (Nashville Cable) and several Vocal Awards including Gilley’s Showcase/Nashville, induction into the Maryland Legends of Country Music Hall of Fame, and more...
In 1997 it all came together when The Ronnie Wayne / TideWater Band (current members:Guy Matricciani, Mark Potter, Chris Thompson, and Wayne Weber ), three of which are current Maryland Legends of Country Music inductees, formed to combine the traditional sound of “old fashion” country, the upbeat “feel good” sound of today’s country, and threw a pinch of “southern fried” into the mix to form a unique sound all it’s own.

The “Band” has been fortunate enough to play many venues in several states including Cancun Cantina, Cancun West, Tootsie’s, Nick’s, Fast Eddie's and Hollywood Slots to name a few. Members have also had the pleasure of performing as the opening act for such recording artists as Highway 101, Ty Herndon, Gary Allan, Lila McCann, and Collin Raye
Then recently, thru perseverance and dedication to their profession and the loyalty of their fans or “folks” as they refer to their people, Ronnie / Tidewater was showcased by Baltimore Radio FM 93 WPOC as “Entertainer of the Month” including continued “air play” to date!
