Mike Needer has been playing drums/percussion professionally since 1990. During his first few years he played with such Baltimore area acts as Justin Sane, Silent Jester, Tinman and even played a couple of years with the popular country band Family Tradition.
He took a break in 1995 to start a family. But, in the summer of 2000 Mike re-entered the Baltimore music scene in an acoustic act called Two Fifths playing mostly dock bars and in the Fells Point/Canton area. The 2-piece act eventually changed their name to The SOLUTION and still plays about 2-4 shows per month. Mike eventually went on to front the popular classic rock band, Great Train Robbery for almost 2 years.
Now you can see Mike fronting his own band, My Boy Blue, a ROCK-n-COUNTRY band that plays everything from Bon Jovi to Zac Brown, Aldean to ZZ Top, Poison to Luke Bryan and EVERYTHING in between.
Most recently, Mike has been focusing on No Off Switch, his Acousticountry & Party Rock band. The act delivers a high energy stage show that has something for EVERYBODY! No Off Switch features Mike on a stand-up cocktail kit, Pat Owens on acoustic guitar and Rod Sebastian on lead guitar. All three members provide lead vocals with 3 part harmonies ALL NIGHT LONG!!!
Mike also owns and operates The SOLUTION Entertainment, a DJ / Karaoke/Trivia company. Although most of his time is spent singing lead, playing drums or percussion around town, you can find him hosting numerous weddings, bull roasts, anniversaries as well as his weekly Trivia Shows.
Although this may sound quite busy, Mike is always looking for other acts in need of drums and/or Latin percussion! Feel free to contact him at 410-935-3000 or mike@thesolutionrocks.com!
