Dave Collins and The Contenders at Poplar Sports Bar & Grille

8 PM until 12. - THIS IS A SPECIAL EVENT !! Back in the early 2000's Buzzy and Dave C. played in a group called "The Soul Messengers" Joining us in that band were John Linthicum on guitar and Tony Fenlock (RIP) on bass. The Messengers played The Poplar about every 6 weeks or so for around 5 years. We always had a blast and many times in the audience were John's mother, Marion and her sister, Celeste. They were the life of the party and always so much fun !! Unfortunately, John's mom recently passed and The Flyers are proud to be playing a celebration of her life on the 19th at The Poplar. We've enticed John to join us on stage as we pull out some old Messenger tunes. This will be a great evening for a truly great lady. Come join us to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman who left an impact on all she met. Hope to see you !!
