Hard Rock/ Metal style player looking to join a band with like minded individuals.

I’m a 52 year old lead guitar player with plenty of gear and reliable transportation; I’m drug, smoke and alcohol free. I have no baggage or ego and I have a full time day job. My influences are many but I’m looking for a specific kind of band. My ideal situation is a band that plays high energy hard rock and heavy metal from bands like Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Ozzy, Motley Crue, AIC, GNR, Van Halen, Ratt, Dokken, Zeppelin and AC/DC. Basically if you grew up in the late 70’s, 80’s and into the 90’s you know what I’m talking about. Music was fun and it appealed to all types. Parties were about socializing but the main ingredient was the music with a little help from the alcohol. We dressed like the bands we banged our heads to the stereos and concerts were like religious gatherings. We worshiped the atmosphere and we rocked the place until the end. It was a fun time to be alive and I want to bring it back.

I’m looking for a band that has the energy of these bands. I’m not interested in bands that just play these songs I want to be in a band that performs them. I’m not interested in being a band that just stands there and announces each song and plays it. I want to put on a performance like all the bands that we covered done and still do in their 60’s and 70’s. These old guys and gals still rock harder than almost every single band in this area. I want to play once or twice a month and keep it fun, live the dream, perform and have a blast then its back to reality until our next gig. Seriously I have a day job and I need to keep it real, no pipe dreams of making it big. I’m also open to originals, that was a big thing back in the day and I never got the chance to record my own stuff.

If this sounds like something you want to do or are in the process of doing let’s talk, I’m ready to go now. Also I’ve tried this and it always gets derailed and pulled off course and ends up with a song list that’s heavy on Skynyrd, Bad Company and other 60’s and 70’s bands and short or even no 80’s metal bands like Skid Row or Ratt or Priest…No…No…No… if 80’s bands are not your thing then we are wasting each other’s time.
