Style: Classic Rock/Covers

Members: Vince Vigliotti, Kathy Marr, Mark Weaver, Doug Workman and Michael Greco. Kathy Marr Bio - I always knew I wanted to sing. As a young girl I remember singing along to Barbra Streisand's "People" album, using the vacuum cleaner handle as my microphone. I started taking guitar lessons from a neighbor when I was 10 years old. She sang while playing guitar so I learned to sing and play. We went to the VA hospital to perform for the recovering vets. I played and sang at the occasional wedding. Seems I forgot about playing and singing when I had my children for about 10 years. I started back up with some friends in a basement band in 1990. We formed the band Knucklehead and played the local circuit for about 10 years. Vince Vigliotti and I have been performing as an acoustic duo since 1999. I was with the band Deny Everything from 2006 till 2009. My musical influences are Motown R&B, Tina Turner, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles just to name a few. I am grateful that at this point in my life I am able to get out occasionally and make music. It’s best said by Friedrich Neitzche (1844 -1900) “Without music, life would be a mistake.” Vince Vigliotti Bio - I’ve been playing the guitar regularly since I was about 12 or 13 years old and I’ve been singing since I was in diapers. The types of music that I have played are: jazz, country, pop, folk, blues, rock and metal. My first public performance was when I was about 9 or 10 years old and in the 4th grade. It was for an audition for an elementary school talent show with my friend, Van Woodruff. Despite my having had no previous musical experience, Van taught me the bass line for the song, “Gloria” (by Van Morrison) which I easily mastered. He played lead guitar and sang. Our rhythm guitar player was in another class and could not perform with us. As our performance consisted of only bass guitar and singing (with the little bit of lead guitar work in the middle), we did not pass the audition and were, therefore, not allowed to be in the talent show. Undaunted, I still took up the bass and the guitar a few years later as I followed my older brother, Dominic (1952-1995), into a life of musicianship. My first official band was called Wino. Other bands I’ve been in since were: Maximum Force, Shotel, Thunder Chicken, Nimbus, Bombabill, The Daryl Davis Band, Date Bait, Nightwatch, Brandy, Mock Turtle, Rave, Gizmo, The Whitewalls, The Jupiter Project, Knucklehead, The Danny Low Band, Flashpoint, Silent Knight, The Dads Project, The Carlton Richards Band and now The 8-Balls. I’ve also performed live with the Seth Kibel Quartet (and Quintet) and with acoustic singer/songwriter Craig Cummings. I’ve performed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, New York, California and Japan at places where the band members outnumbered the crowd to shows where the crowd numbered in the tens of thousands. I am also in an acoustic duo with my significant other, Kathy Marr. My guitar playing (and singing) is on numerous studio and live recordings including: The Dads Project, Knucklehead, The Whitewalls, with Daryl Beard, The Carlton Richards Band, Nimbus, Phil and the Outhouse (Gang), The Jupiter Project, The Danny Low Band, Nightwatch, Date Bait, The Daryl Davis Band, Maximum Force, Shotel, Flashpoint, The Keith Norris Band, with Kathy Marr and now with The 8-Balls. I continue to play, perform and write songs - not for any large monetary gain; but to simply become more famous than I truly already am and to continue my goal to keep on spreading good musical cheer throughout the world. Yes, really! Mark Weaver Bio - Has been influenced by a wide range of music, from the Drifters to Peter Gabriel; from Creedence Clearwater to Wilson Pickett. He stands on the shoulders of giants and seldom falls off. He says,"Music is guilty pleasure without the guilt." Doug Workman Bio - Grew up listening to 70’s and 80’s Hard Rock, started out wanting to play guitar but quickly learned I like to pound on Instruments! So at thirteen I moved to playing the drums and have been there ever since. Was in several local rock bands in the Detroit suburbs back in the 80's, took a 16 year Hiatus from playing but realized there was a big part missing from my life and starting playing again in local bands back in 2000 around the Baltimore area. Michael Greco Bio - Over the years as a bassist, I have had the opportunity to work with and open for many national talent acts like The Mamas and the Papas, Bowser, Sam Cooke, Mark Farner, The Buckinghams, Dan Aykroyd, Felix Cavilaries, The Vogues and others. Also worked as back up musician for Dennis Yost (Spooky, Stormy) as the Classics Four and for The Marvelettes (Mr.Postman). Influences: Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, Rick James, James Jamerson and Verdine White to name a few. The list does continue.
